Rally tester agreement

Rally is a shared music studio that Jack Vorwald ("we") is testing with a small group of invited people. This agreement is between you and us. It is short on purpose; please read it before you use Rally.

Rally is a prototype

Rally is unfinished. Features may break, change or disappear, and the test may stop at any time. Your projects, sounds and settings may be lost, so keep your own copies of anything you care about. Rally is provided as it is, without any promise that it works or keeps your work safe.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you make or bring into Rally: audio, MIDI, recordings, project names and comments. We claim no ownership of it.

You let us host, store, copy, convert, analyze (for example to draw waveforms and check files), play back, send to the members of your projects, back up and restore your content, only to run, secure and support the test. Our service providers do this for us within the same limits.

When you add something to a project, the other members of that project may keep using, editing, playing and exporting it within that project, also after you leave it. Rally takes no position on who owns a song among the people who made it.

We do not use your content to train AI models under this agreement, and we do not use your music to promote Rally without asking you first.

Only bring in material you have the right to use, including the right to share it with the members of your projects.

Keep the test confidential

Rally and what you see of it during the test are confidential: unreleased features, how they work, and other people's projects. Please do not share screenshots, recordings or details outside the test without our permission. This does not limit what you do with your own content.

Feedback and contributions

If you send us feedback, ideas or bug reports, we may use them freely, without paying or naming you.

If you send us something to include in Rally itself, such as a sound, a preset or a melody, you keep its copyright and give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and permanent license to use, change and share it as part of Rally. Your own projects are not contributions; the section on your content covers them.

You must be 18 or older and live in the United States

You confirm that you are 18 or older and live in the United States. If you are not, please do not use Rally.

Ending

You can stop using Rally at any time. We can end the test, or your access to it, at any time.

Changes

If we change this agreement or the privacy notice, Rally asks you to read and accept the new version before you continue. We will never use a change to start training AI models on content you added before it.

If Rally changes hands

We may transfer this agreement, and our rights under it, to a company that takes over Rally, and we will tell you if that happens.
